Alexander began his career with the Nigerian Enterprises Promotion Board, followed by the Central Bank of Nigeria. He later held senior accounting and management positions at Bullion Building Society, BFB Petroleum and The Bazaar Farms & Stores Ltd, and has served on the boards of private companies.
